With Insurance

Compass Chiropractic accepts most major health insurances including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Anthem Healthkeepers, Cigna, United Healthcare, Optima, Medicare, and the VA (Veteran's Admin through CCN). To many people's surprise, most policies do have chiropractic benefits. Since coverage varies widely please call us or stop in and we can verify and explain your coverage for free prior to starting care. We also strongly encourage our patients to be proactive and informed about their health insurance policy by clicking the links below.

Without Insurance

If you do not have health insurance or your policy has no chiropractic benefits, don't worry. Your care will be identical care to those using insurance benefits and there is often no significant difference in cost. More than half of our patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be extremely affordable and cost-effective. We make every effort to work with your budget and offer payment plans that allow you to get the care you need. The last thing we want is for you to ignore pain due to finances and end up in a crisis. At Compass Chiropractic, we believe a small investment of your time and money toward your most important asset, your health, will be far less time consuming and expensive than trying to recover it.

What to Expect

Almost all patients will experience little to no wait time.

First Visit (30 min): begins by meeting with Dr. McDade for a brief consultation. He will review your case and answer your questions. If X-rays are needed, we will take them on-site. Dr. McDade will usually review your X-rays with you immediately after taking them. An exam will then be conducted to determine how we can help. Adjustments are performed on the first visit unless additional time to review X-rays or other imaging is necessary.

Second Visit (15 min): this visit starts with a brief recap of your problem and X-ray findings. The focus of the visit is to:

A) Provide a clear explanation of your problem in plain language, based on available information

B) See how you responded to treatment to establish a baseline

C) Recommend a treatment plan* tailored to your case

D) Perform additional chiropractic adjustments. If therapies like spinal decompression, flexion-distraction, or EMS are indicated, they begin at this time.

*In compliance with the No Surprises Act of 2022, your treatment plan will include a "good-faith estimated cost of care" based on services needed and number of visits expected.

Future Visits (10-15 min): most visits focus on treating and tracking your issues. Periodic exams may be performed as "check points". Dr. McDade may change adjustment styles or therapy treatments if you are not progressing as expected. Once resolved, many patients come a few times a month or as needed because of how much adjustments help them feel and function.
