Compass Chiropractic accepts most major health insurances in the Midlothian area including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Anthem Healthkeepers, Cigna, United Healthcare, Optima, Medicare, and the VA (Veteran's Admin through CCN). Most policies do cover chiropractic care, but with many plans raising co-pay and co-insurance amounts, our office visit costs are often similar to most co-pay amounts. In other words, it may actually cost you the same or more to use your insurance than to pay out-of-pocket.
Since coverage varies widely please call us or stop in and we can verify and explain your coverage for free prior to starting care. We also strongly encourage our patients to be proactive and informed about their health insurance policy by clicking the links below.

If you do not have health insurance or your policy has no chiropractic benefits, don't worry. Your care will be identical care to those using insurance benefits and there is often no significant difference in cost. More than half of our patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be extremely affordable and cost-effective. We make every effort to work with your budget and offer payment plans that allow you to get the care you need. The last thing we want is for you to ignore pain due to finances and end up in a crisis. At Compass Chiropractic, we believe a small investment of your time and money toward your most important asset, your health, will be far less time consuming and expensive than trying to recover it.
What to Expect
First Visit: begins by meeting with Dr. McDade for a brief consultation. He will review your case and answer your questions before proceeding. If X-rays are needed, we will take them on-site. Following this an exam will be conducted to determine how we can help you. Typically, adjustments are performed on the first visit unless additional time to review X-rays is necessary.
Second Visit: This is where you will receive a summary of the doctor's exam and X-ray findings. We pride ourselves on giving you an adequate explanation of your problem that is simple to understand. Dr. McDade will recommend a plan of care tailored to your case, see how you responded from your first visit, and then perform additional chiropractic adjustments. If therapies like spinal decompression, flexion-distraction, or EMS are needed, they begin at this time.
